My company is to small to get maternity leave coverage... I can take off as long as I want... but it is without any pay... so needless to say it will only be 6 weeks and I am sooo scared... that is about 3 paychecks of nothing...

Someone told me that I could get short term disablitly insurance... but another told me I can't get it because I am already pregnant...

All I know is I am sooo worried and scared... so anyone have any ideas?

I have no idea if it varies state to state, but in california, you get state disability if your paycheck pays into it.  I'm assuming you don't from the way you worded it.
If you're looking to purchase your own policy, then yeah, you're probably right (I'm just guessing) that they'd deny you since you're already pregnant, but it wouldn't be cheap anyway.  If you're really only going to take 6 weeks, then it might not be worth your while anyway.
I was extremely worried too and super terrified.  Let me tell you that things have a way of working themselves out, especially when you are honest, humble, and in my beliefs, when you involve God.  I thought we would be stretched to the limits for me to take 6 weeks off.  We would have if we kept living the way we were.  But once the baby was here, EVERYTHING changed.  There is no going out to eat when you have a newborn and you are their personal dairy cow.  There is no movie theatre, there is no need for new clothes.  Lots of times there was no need for groceries because we'd just eat what we had in the house or someone from church would bring us a meal.  It all worked out and I was able to extend my leave an additional 6 weeks.  Then I went back for 2 months and then I quit to be a SAHM.  So as scary as it seems now, there is a way.  You are doing a beautiful thing--bringing a baby into the world and there is a way to make it work.  You will have to be resourceful.  No question.  But there is a way.  Maybe family can offer to pay a bill or two in order to help out.  That could be their baby gift to you?  Oh and another thing I did was stock up on diapers and wipes and everything I thought I could possibly need way before the birth so that was not a worry.
Hugs, sister.  You'll work it out.

I have no advice.  My maternity leave was ALL unpaid.  I took 10 weeks total with my son (hubby wasn't army at this time and worked full time) and only 6 with my daughter (hubby was working part time for the reserve unit).  this time I don't work so no maternity leave.

Shannon, I had a similar situation.  Disability didn't work, but some how everything just fell into place.  We tried to save up some money every payday to supplement me time off.  Then we save our income tax.  Also, we had several relatives bring meals after the baby.  That helped with groceries.  I know it's very scary when you need the paycheck!!!  Good luck. -K

I am with you on this as my leave will be entirely unpaid and I actually plan on taking the full 12 weeks.  I did a lot of research, believe it or not - your library can be an amazing resource.  I looked up "stay at home mom" and a lot of books with frugal tips showed up.

Right now we are trying very hard to set aside as much as possible and we'll be giving up on some of the newer, cool stuff for the baby to save money for me to be here with the baby for the extra weeks.

Good luck to us all!

Love, Riah
