Boobie Issue

Okay, so post-surgery, I now suffer from tube-socks-with-golfballs-in-them-syndrome. I have boobs that hang to my waist and are pretty much deflated. It's never really been much of an issue for me. I simply fold them in half and put them in my bra and things look perfect.

Since pregnancy, however, they've begun to fill out a bit and of course, hurt like h*ll. Yesterday, when I took my bra off, I realized that circulation had been cut off to parts of my breasts! I literally had a bruised indentation where the "neckline" of my bra had been sitting over my breast. I showed my partner and she said, I had to figure something out because folding my boobs at this point was no longer going to work!

Sports bras don't really work because I hang too low...and they fall out the bottom!

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do when your boobs hang low and wobble to and fro...and hurt like hell because they are swollen when preggers?

AHHH! Thanks!!!

35 pounds lost on my own. 8 pounds on the pre-op diet. 87 since surgery.

I just want to say that I am in the same boat and am curious to the responses you get.  Thought I was the only one with boobie issues too!

I am not an expert - but maybe that's what you ladies need! I would suggest a professional bra fitting, that way they get you in the right size and type bra and boobies are their business! lol Something with a good underwire and a full band would be my guess.

Hope this helps!

I second what Liz said, a professional fitting is in order. I love the little old lady in JC Penny's here who does them, she is always spot on when it comes to what looks good, fit's nice and is comfortable!

ITA on the bra fitting. But be careful, many, many, many of the "fit specialists" out there have gotten a whopping 3 full minutes of training! Nordstrom has notoriously good people, or check to see if there's a bra specialty store in your area - we have one in Denver that actually specializes in nursing! You could look for one of those on Medela's website.

I forgo stylish bras  and go for the full support ones...My boobs are majorly sore now too...but I know my bra is working cause as soon as I take it off to go to bed I am in agony for a full five minutes...get fitted and just use their suggestions to get the one that completely covers all the girls! No folding allowed!!
