Does your pediatrician make you come in for pink eye??
I'm almost positive my 15 month old has pink eye. It's mighty pink/red was crusted over this AM and has a greenish/yellow discharge. I have a call in to my pediatrician's office, but I was just wondering does your Dr. make you bring your child in for pink eye? We have his 15 month well visit a week from today, so I'm hoping they can just call me in something!
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
When my boys were little we had to take the first one in to be seen. After that, they would prescribe something without seeing the other one because pink eye is so contagious.
Also, I just had to take my youngest in because I swore he had pink eye. He actually had allergies but it looked just like pink eye. Just an FYI
Good luck!

Our physians make you bring them in, to verify pink eye vs. allergies. I work for a 159 physician multi-med group, and we have 6 pediatricians. I think 1 out 10 cases just gets a prescription based off of phone triage.

When I had an eye infection it wasn't pink eye, but a virus that anti-biotics wouldn't have helped....
So I was glad I came in.
