IUD removed and .... holy appetite!!!

I just had my IUD removed 10 days ago and I've noticed a change in my appetite.  I am more hungry and am finding myself snacking more.  I had a period like 2 days after I had my IUD removed (which is when it was due anyways) and it lasted like 5 days.

I've gained 2 pounds since the removal and this is scaring me!   Maybe it's jus****er weight left over from my period, but I stopped bleeding a few days ago.  I am having some light spotting still (light brown) and have to wear a pantyliner, so maybe it's not over yet?  Is it the change in my hormones that is making me more hungry or what?!  Anyone else experience this????

We aren't going to start trying to get pg until July, not looking forward to the weight gain and/or appetite change when I do get pg.... but it's worth it for another baby!   But right now, I shouldn't be so hungry, I'm not even pg yet!  lol

Mine didn't change at all after I had my removed. It took me 13 months to get PG and then surpise I'm having twins. Good luck TTC and remember to have fun trying!

Wow, twins!!  Congrats to you (and good luck)!!

It took me a long time to get pg with both of my kids (2 yrs with the first and 14 months + 2 rounds of Clomid with the 2nd pg) and I'm hoping this will not take as long this time!!  Hopefully 6 months or less!

I  had my IUD removed a while back due to other medical issues, but never noticed a change in appetite. From what I understand the hormones in the IUD are not systemic and only act locally on the uterus. I know this because it was not an acceptable form of hormone therapy to control the endometriosis I have on my ovaries and abdominal tissues. The cravings or increased appetite might be psychological? Perhaps you're eating due to stress? Either way, just remember that you have control over what you eat so try to make good choices. Good luck TTC! I hope you have a quick and easy road to pregnancy.
