Hi Jess, Congrats and Welcome! some spotting is very normal for some people, and alot of women experience cramping early in pregnancy.
You don't sound crazy, many of us have been there and often feel crazy for what we are feeling! And trust me it will last a long time like the whole 9 months
again welcome! Never worry that your post is long or that you might sound crazy we are all here to support each other so ASK away!!

Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to this forum, Jess!
Spotting, especially brownish, is common and does not necessarily indicate any problems in pregnancy. It is so difficult those first few months; the worry can be overwhelming! I've had 3 m/c's and with my first successful pregnancy, I was a wipe-aholic, going to the bathroom constantly and checking to make sure I wasn't miscarrying again. It's neurotic, but it got me through the early stages.
I don't remember the exact statistic, but once the fetal pole and heartbeat are visible by ultrasound, the risk of miscarriage is significantly decreased. Try to remember that you are PREGNANT today and that you are going to enjoy this moment and force yourself to stay IN THE MOMENT.
This is a great forum with lots of wisdom, inspiration and support. I look forward to sharing in your journey!
Hugs,
