How often did you get ultrasounds???

Hi everyone,

Well, I'm just curious as to how often you've gotten US's? I did the main Ultrasound at 19 weeks and as of now nothing else is scheduled. I love seeing my little girl and am just waiting to see her again. I'm also nervous to start to register for girly things without another to make sure check,lol!! So, what's your schedule been like? I'll be 23 weeks on Wednesday FYI...

My OB is very different than most and does an ultrasound every time I go in.  He has a u/s machine in every exam room.

I have scrapbooking picture box FULL of ultrasound pics of my kids.

My first pg I only had two scans total. One at 12 weeks and one at 22. THATS IT!! And it sucked. But since things were going okay they didn't do anymore. I did have NST's towards the end of my pg where they would do a quick scan to check for fluid levels and I would catch a quick glimpse of a foot or butt or something. This pg I am seeing a specialist and get crappy u/s every 2 weeks and scheduled ones every 6-8 weeks. You could always do the private 3d scan and pay out of pocket. Shari

I get an u/s every month....  and OB appointment every 2 weeks to listen to heart beat.  Now I am getting NSts (non-stress tests) every week as well....

Doc thinks better safe than sorry!  (And I love to see my little wiggle-worm!)

Last pregnancy, I had 8.  But all before 19 weeks.  This time with twins my OB said it would be every 4-8 weeks.  HOWEVER, when I went in last week he said he wasn't going to do another one for 9 more weeks!!!  That really bums me out.  I so want to see my little guys!!

Good luck.  You might get one closer to your date to see baby's position or something...but it's not very common from what I hear to get any more than the one at 19/20 weeks.  BUMMER, huh?!

I am going to have one scheduled for 12 weeks I guess just to check everything. Then I would assume that i would get another one around 1/2 way or so - I'll have to ask tomorrow when I go.

I kinda assumed (first time mommy to be here) that there were more ultrasounds then 1 or 2. Just me not knowing I guess.

Well, I am an exception...(Fortunate for me lol)  I get one every week because of the lupus issues.  They want to make sure everything is right on track.  I had one last week, one today and another scheduled for next Wednesday. 

With my other babies I had four total.  That is one of my favorite parts of being pregnant...seeing the little one!! :)

I have had 2 so far. I am having a 3/4D next week. The OB said he also wanted to do another after that. So i have a couple more coming.

I believe it all depends on the doctor. With my son(15 years ago though),my doctor did sooooooooooooooooo many that I lost count and with my daughter(11 years ago),i only  had MAYBE 5 done the whole pregnacy.
