Will I know if my water breaks??

My first one was a pop that I heard and felt and then a huge gush!

When my water broke I thought I had pee'd.  So I changed clothes and sat down at the computer...then I noticed I was wet again.  When I stood up it was running down my legs.  I called the on-call ob told her what happened.  She said go in get checked.  I had to wear a pad and sit on a towel on the way to the hospital.   While waiting in the triage room at L&D everytime I laughed there was a gush.  She checked and sure enough my water broke.  I was not even a fingertip dialated.  I had a c-section already scheduled for 3/6 at 39 weeks but Matthew decided he was coming on 3/1 at 38 weeks via emergency c-section.

I didn't know.   Hannah's head acted like a cork so only a little water would leak out at time to start with.  This went on for a few days.  I thought I was just peeing on myself (doc even checked at my appointment and the test strip was negative, but I also wasn't "leaking" right then). 
The leaking started gettting more pronounced and I went to the ER.  Sure enough my water had broken.  Put on a pad...they can use it to do the strip test with.
