Take a deep breath and relax. I continue to check and I am over 10 weeks now. I know I will continue to do so until this baby is born. I say concentrate on taking care of you for right now. I started a special savings account and have it set up for money to go into the account every two weeks so when the time comes we can start to get the things we need. Other than that I have not really done anything either. I do feel like setting up the account gave me something I could control. Talk all you want. This is really the right place!!!

That's a great idea about the savings account, actually.....something to think about.

Praying is a good thing, since we have no control over anything, right?????

Good luck back at you.

I wipe and check every single time.  Are we all paranoid or does everyone do that?

Alot of us are in situations that aren't perfect but we will make it work.  I will be 39 when the baby is born and I am utterly exhausted all the time too.  I understand and sympathize.  My kids are 7 and 9 this year and actually got rid of my last carseat about 6 months ago so we are starting from scratch as well.  I feel your pain!!!

It'll all work out!

Maybe we are all paranoid, I don't know.  After multiple m/c though, it's second nature for me.  I wish I could relax.

I guess we'll all keep each other sane - or as close as we can get, right??

thx :)

You are not alone...I promise.  We are in the same boat but with twins.  I check every time I go to the bathroom.  I actually spotted until 12 weeks with Kellen and it's weird to not be spotting now and I keep waiting for the shoe to drop.  With my hx of miscarriage, I freaked out with Kellen until 20 weeks and I'm planning on freaking out my entire pregnancy with the twins.  LOL!!

We were thrown for a complete loop when we found out we were pregnant, especially with twins.  We were DONE.  We got rid of everything as he outgrew them.  Now, we are starting over and this time I'm unemployed.  OOH FUN!  lol

I am a hipocrite though...I think people are so crazy for planning things in the first trimester HOWEVER, I'm a huge planner and mentally do the same exact thing!  We've been discussing baby names, talking about where we are going to put the babies, and what all we will need, getting a much bigger vehicle, etc.  I think it's natural for us to do that.

Good luck.  And I agree with you, this is a gift from God...at least I have to think of it that way or I'll go crazy with the "why me?" 's. LOL!

Ok so I have to say that multiples would probably throw me right over the edge LOL.  That's one heck of a loop.  And unemployed - good Lord.  I'd be crazy.

I will say though - when I got pregnant with my son (who will be 12), I had been trying for almost a year.  I found out I was pregnant, and two days later, lost my job.  It turned out to be such a blessing - I took a contract job, which turned into a perm job and gave me the chance to relocate back home.

I've been laid off a few times, and each time I've ended up in a better situation than the last one.

Hang in there :)  I think you are my new hero.  Twins.  Oy.
