It too****il he was a hair over 10 months, but Rowan is finally getting teeth:
In other news, he also decided about a week ago that he is done nursing. My flow is pretty low, so he is mostly bottle fed at this point but he used to nurse when he first woke up in the morning and for a few minutes before bed. Now he just turns his head away, or bites me with his new teeth and smiles. Bottles only from now on!
Believe it or not, he was pretty sick for this photo. He had a combo of a bad cold and a bad sinus infection and spent Thursday through Sunday with high fevers and almost constant coughing that made it close to impossible to keep anything down. Then he got diarrhea from the antibiotics. I lost count of how many times he vomited on me or my husband. Thankfully he perked up Monday and did great yesterday, today he seems to be back to normal and his appetite is returning.

That little grin is too adorable. My sister's son just stopped breastfeeding and drinking much formula after about this time too. THe doctor's said he wanted more substantal food because he was so big. He was born at 9lbs 15oz and by the time he was 4, his feet were bigger than his 8 year old sister's. So I guess that makes sense. (I am now sending up a prayer that I don't have a 10 pound baby...please Lord, I know big babies run in my family, but please...)

Rowan's not that big, he weighs about 20 lbs (was getting close to 21 but he lost a pound being sick), but he is long. He does eat his solids well, and he'll drink a bottle fine, my flow is just so little at this point that I think he has just given up on it!
They kept saying he was running big and my doc didn't want me to go past my due date, but he was born 4 days before his due date at a nice normal 8lb 4oz, so don't worry too much!

He's really a redhead! My husband and I are both blonde and neither of us has any immediate family members with red hair, but there are rumors of redheads further back on my husband's grandmother's side of the family and my dad's side, so I guess he just lucked out!
