Hello! What kind of information do you need? I had the surgery just over a year ago, and I have PCOS. I will help however I can.

I ordered one from Amazon.com a couple of weeks ago, but haven't gotten up the nerve to try it yet! Keeping my fingers crossed that it works!

Topic: Spironoilactone/Aldosterone
Hi all...

For 10 years before surgery I was on spironolactone/aldosterone to control my androgens / free testosterone and and control excess hair growth. I stopped taking it 1 month before surgery (5 months ago). My hair growth is back with a vengance, and I would like to start it again. I am booking an appointment with my endo, but thought I would ask here:

Have any of you been on this drug before surgery and resumed taking it afterwards, or alternatively have any of you been advised that you shouldn't take it after surgery?

Thanks!

~Mo

Shana, I spent at least an hour watching the commercial on that just waiting and waiting to hear the price, but never did. $300? Wow....

I think the metformin is worth a shot. If it makes you sick ask for the extended release in a small dose. I'm kind of in the same boat right now, except I'm only 4 months out. The last two months my loss has been extreemly slow (only 5lbs. last month). So I'm trying to go back to my eating basics and I think I'm going to pay my OB/GYN a visit and have her do a blood panel and get her opinion. Good luck!

I hit my first real stall after my year mark too.  Finally, I've lost 2 pounds so I hope that I am going in the right direction again.

I don't have PCOS, but I would give the Metformin a try.  I have seen others that have had good success on it.  If it doesn't work or makes you sick you can always go off of it.

Topic: Question for PCOS'RS
I haven't lost any weight in a while now, and to say I am frustrated doesn't begin to describe how I feel. I exercise, and get all my protein in....and not one pound...just maintaining. I have found that if I do STRAIGHT liquids I do lose weight, but when I go off the liquids I gain it back....SO STRANGE.
SO I have PCOS/METABOLIC SYNDROME/INSULIN RESISTANCE...and Dr said maybe I should go on Metformin...I took it about 8 years ago but it made me sick...I was on 4 pills a day.

So my question is...has anyone seen it make a difference in their weight loss? I really don't want to take it, but I have come to far to just give up now!

I works well.  I ordered it online around 300.00, they do let you make payments.  It burns the hair off so it smalls I just light a candle.  No pain it slows the growth of the hair.  go to  trynono.com Wanted to share.
