Topic: Where to start.............help!!!!
I have pcos and am considering sleeve surgery......I don't know where to start. Can anyone help? Has anyone had this and what is the success rate with pcos. I have been on so many diet and excercise programs and I will work out like a mad woman for months and only drop 10 lbs to have it creep back on.....currently taking metformin for it.......I was diagnosed earlier this year and didn't struggle with weight issues until my mid 20's........Any advice or help would be great!
Topic: Hope for less facial hair!
Hi ladies, I'm not active on the boards anymore, but I wanted to let you gals know that I lost 135 lbs after my VSG 2 years ago. My body hair thinned after I hit normal BMI. I have awful facial hair, shave everyday and that did not change. I had tried laser hair removal 8yrs ago with no results, but decide to try again at normal bmi. Well, I'm happy to say I went for my first treatment a few weeks ago and I can tell for sure it's working! After about 10 days my face was smooth for the first time in 17yrs! I still have some thicker hair right around my chin, but it's only been one treatment and I am amazed! I have hated this damn hair all my life. I don't like to swim or sweat because I don't want my makeup to melt off and I never go camping because I cant shave right away and I don't want everyone to see it. Now I see a camping trip in my near future with my 6yr old boy and I'm so excited. I wanted to share to give you girls dealing with the hair some hope!

Topic: RE: No--No Hair Remover
Hello Siui80,
It has slowed WAY down. I shave in the morning and mid day I would have a good amount of noticeable stubble. Now I still shave in the morning and late night I will have very light stubble. I do not use the No-No regularly maybe twice a month. I am sure if I used it every day or every week it might work better. Over all very happy with it. If you have any more questions just ask me...
Have a great day.

Topic: RE: No--No Hair Remover
Hi I was just wondering are you still using it and have you found a difference in your hair since? Re-growth etc
Topic: RE: One word: Epilator.
I have also used babying teething gel. It will numb the area and it will not hurt so bad.

Sorry I did not see the post early... Yes I do use it on my face as soon as I hit 13 I have had very bad facial hair. It hurts but I think I am over doing it I will use it for 30-40 minutes to a time. But the pain is not so bad and I use Oil of Olay afterwords and is it just fine. The buffing of the hair hurts me so I just skip that and shave it off.
Topic: RE: Woo-hoo for symptom management
Congrats on taking a great step towards a healthy life!!! it was the best decision I have ever made. I have/had PCOS since I was 13 years old and like you, only had cycles 2-3 times a year and they were very unpredictable. 7 months ago I was only 24 years old, newly married, and facing the possibility that I may never be able to have children. I tried and stuck to every recommended diet with the addends diet showing the most promise, but not really making a dent. since surgery, I have had cycles regularly avery 30-35 days, have lost weight, and the symptoms of PCOS have pretty much disappeared. I find it best to stick to a low-carb diet, as I seem to lost more weight and I have less cravings. I hope that your surgery will help you as much as it has helped me. My husband and I will get the go ahead to start trying for a baby this December, and I am hoping for the best!! Best of luck to you as well!!
