Topic: RE: how much does laser hair removal cost?

How would I look up a place to have it done? What is it called? Also, some of the hairs are dark and some are not. Which treatment would be best for me?

I have a 3 year old already, but we are not planning on another biological child, we may adopt in the future. We went through a lot with infertility to conceive, that plus I simply do not want to endure weight gain from pregnancy again after going through this surgery...it would mentally screw me up I am certain. My insulin resistance is gone post op, my periods are regulating, I still have cysts however and no decrease in the excess hair growth at all which sucks.

Topic: RE: VSG or RNY with PCOS

I had RNY and have PCOS as well.  I posted on the RNY forum today with my concern about not losing weight just 8 weeks out, was convinced it was just a plateau, but now I'm wondering if it IS my PCOS!?  In the first month I lost 31 lbs, in the last 4 weeks I lost only 5 lbs.. ugh!

Not shure if this will help. I was told I had it years ago, did not have a monthly tell I was 25, they kicked started with meds and have had it ever sence, but could still not get preg. Found out ten years later I had high blood sugars. Doc put me on Medform, but asked me if I wanted to get preg, said yes. In less than two month was once my blood sugars came down. I now have a healthy 11 year old son. Have had my monthly on a reg basrs. By the way had RNY May 13 2013. Have lost a total of 88 pounds, 61 sence surgury.

Ok try to make a long story short. I to was told I had PCOS when I was in my twentys, went on meds got it going started haveing a normal monthley when I was 25. 12 years ago was told I had high blood sugars. My doc ask if I want to get pregant, told him have been trying for 9 years. He told me I will have a 50/50 chance of getting preg if I can get my sugars normal. I now have a 11 1/2 year old boy. Love of my life.

That's awesome that it came back so soon! Hope it returns again for you  I am now 2 months post-op and still no sign other than the occasional cramping (but that could be endometriosis). Congrats on your weight loss! 30 lbs since surgery is exciting!!

I have PCOS and had the gastric sleeve on July 3, 2013. Prior to surgery I did not have a period unless I took provera. My cycle came on its own exactly one month after my surgery. I am just waiting to see if it comes again next month. I've lost 30 pounds since  my surgery.

I have PCOS and do not want children either. I just want to be a healthy normal person and have fun hiking and camping with my future hubby.

I am 36 so my "window" is closing but that is ok. My temperment, pickiness about the cleanlyness of my home, and lack of patience makes me ill suited for children.
