Topic: Losing LBS but no Period, ???
I'm very concerned because I have PCOS and got the RNY in past June 08. I'm down from 349 to 274 but I haven't had a period. I was on bc pills but I stopped after surgery hoping I would start on my own but nothing. I still get my normal migraine headaches, I have pinching pain feelings in my ovaries every month like I'm getting ready to have a cycle but nothing happens. Is there anyone else who's going through some of these issues? If you so, is there something I can do or is this still my waiting period to come?

The only thing that I know that has been working (slightly) is the whitening line by Euoko. It's expensive as can be, but it does work. I've had the boils since I was 17 years old. You might want to try www.soulcysters.net . I know a lot of people there have experienced the boils as well. They may have better and cheaper answers! Either way, I do understand the anguish over them.
Topic: RE: PCOS and Fatty Liver
Dear BJ,
I'm fairly new here. Signed up months ago, but finally decided to pursue the DS surgery. That said, I've had PCOS for as long as I could remember. PCOS and a fatty liver are absolutely related via insulin resistance. When I discovered that I had PCOS (after having years of symptoms and a slew of doctors) I ended up having so many x-rays, sonograms and scans and there they discovered the fattly liver. My endo told me that it is such a hand in hand issue. If you have PCOS, often you'll have a greater risk of a fatty liver and of course, the PCOS is from having insulin instability. I was 30 when I was diagnosed and well I've had so many issues with PCOS, that honestly, this is the only way I feel that I can get a handle on my life, fertility, weight and so on. I hope this helps!

Ask if you can have a 10 days treatment of three progesterone a day. You will have a period a few days after you finish the treatment. Might be heavy if you haven't had one in months but it always worked for me.
Edited to mention: This about the DS i highly recommend it. I have started regular periods since i had it less then 4 months ago and have lost almost 100 pounds. It has a better cure rate for diabetes and therefore with insulin resistance and offers you the best chance of kicking PCOS in the butt

One of the lovely things I get from my pcos is the boil like pimples on my inner thighs I hate them b/c when they heal they turn almost black and stay that way........Im scarred from them they are so ugly and b/c of that I cant wear a bathing suit. My question is does anyone have any way of lighting these so they are not so noticeable?

I havent had a period in months. Im on metformin and yasmin and nothing is working. I just want to feel normal and not bloated all the time. (I just feel miserable.) I have been reading some of you'll post and they have been a great help on what surgery i really want. I could decide on whether to go a little bit safe with the band or ds. Im going to have another talk with my doctor about the DS.

Question: would this cause you to act like a diabetic patient ( symptoms)? fmoi
Topic: RE: Metformin after surgery
I think there is a liquid form of metformin. You may want to research that option.
