Any possibility of being pregnant?
If not, it could be taking a few days to start. I do know that occasionally I would have "symptoms" of a period, but no period. that was almost as frustrating as having it!

Topic: Signs of a period but WHAT!
I have PCOS and I'm 5 mos out of surgery 6/09/08 and I still haven't had a period naturally. However this month my body is going the motions of a period (cramps, major headaches, my ovaries pinching me, even a little *****y) BUT NO FLOW. What the hell is going on and has anyone experienced this?

Karen are you on Metformin? I stopped getting those when I had my Metformin increased, not sure if there was ever a link, just something I noticed. Those spots may lighten with a prescription of Hydroquinone USP, 4%. It's the same thing they give us for "pregnancy mask" or with us "cysters" that dark mustache that forms on the skin above our top lips.... works miracles! (dern hormones!) May worth be asking your PCP about. Topic: RE: I have a question? might be TMI

I was in your shoes before my RNY. I was on 2000mg of metformin for 5 years and never once did it help me have a period. My longest time was 3 years with no period. I had to take provera for 10 days just to spot for a few hours. Since my RNY my cycles are normal, in fact I've been able to concieve twice the 1st month trying since surgery and I'm no longer on Metformin for my IR or diabetes. Last time I had my fasting glucose & insulin checked they were both completely normal. I lost a total of 114lb with the RNY going from 254 to 140 in a year...100lb was in the 1st 6 months. I'm very happy with my RNY decision and if you'd like to know more about that one I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. Good luck!

Well, thanks for sharing, anyways, even though it definately wasnt what I wanted to hear!
At least I know that there is a chance that things could get worse, and maybe I can talk to the docs about it.
And happy anniversary!!!

Well, I'm not going to tell you what you want to hear. :( Sorry.
I had RNY, so I'm not familiar with what you can and can't take. I can't take NSAIDs. I have had completely irregular cycles for as long as I can remember. But almost immediately after surgery I started a regular cycle and it has stayed that way (today is my 1st anniversary.) On the downside...my cramps have been much worse than they were before. But...they were not bad before. So, maybe I'm just the opposite of you. Basically, you go through a huge amount of hormone changes - so that probably somewhat explains the changes. Good luck to you!
