Topic: RE: Slow weight loss and continuing PCO after RNY?

My doctor just put me on metformin ER 500 once daily. I was wondering if there is any problem with absorption and having a Bypass.

Topic: RE: Does anybody know a great RH or revision specialist?!

The thread is quite old, but I think more than one person has asked such a question. I really hope that you are okay now and have sorted out your health problems. It's a pity that it happened to you. To find a suitable specialist, I think you should contact the health care administrator at the clinic where you plan to undergo treatment. You can tell him about your specific case and he will tell you who to contact. I know this because I wanted to become a healthcare administrator myself a few years ago on https://www.exploremedicalcareers.com/healthcare-administration / but I was offered training in another specialty. Therefore, you should not worry so much about where to find a specialist.

I've always been treated with herbs. My grandfather taught me to do this. He never trusted doctors. Many people died by the doctor mistake. The doctors were never found guilty in court. I had similar symptoms as with PCOS. I was able to get rid of them myself. I read on the Internet information about what vitamins I need to drink to get rid of these pains. The best medicine that I have found was the best medicinal mushrooms. Of course, it is better to consult a doctor whether it is possible to take this kind of medication.

I prefer to be treated with herbs and plants. I never trusted doctors. I just heard many stories when doctors prescribed the wrong treatment for mistakes.

I was prescribed Metformin back in the day but found that BC managed the regularity of my cycles and took the general "midol and Tylenol" to work through the other pains

Greetings,

I was wondering what everyone takes to help manage PCOS?

Topic: RE: Gastric Bypass & PCOS - my story

I know I'm late to the game w/ my reply but in the event you're still seeing comments, I'd like to say THANK YOU! First, you're hilarious and second, your post is 100% what I needed. Don't know if I'm going to be able to do the surgery yet (and not just because I will have to give up my "mistress" Diet Coke) but your words and real world truth helped a ton. Thanks!

I would really recommend a book called The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung and also look up his interviews on YouTube. He does discuss why IF with LC is the perfect combination for a woman with PCOS. :)

Ive had pcos since age 14 and gained over 200 pounds since. I didnt lose hair but I have to shave my face and it is so tough especially for a teenager. I wish I would have gotten weight loss surgery at 16 i'm 24 and looking now to try to use surgery as a tool to lose weight. My mother had weight loss and pcos and she got laser hair removal and kept her weight around 150 and now she doesnt have any pcos related issues. She also had no trouble getting pregnant after losing weight. I have type 2 and she will most likely get it if she doesnt do something about the weight. Its hard I hope everything works out and i'd suggest meeting with a surgeon. She is young and deserves to live a thinner healthier life as soon as possible.
