Could anyone tell me if insulin resistance is considered a co-morbid condition. I have POS but they said that it isn't a co-morbid condition.My doc is Dr.Bolar in lexington .Thanks vickie

I used it as a co-morbid..........and I won! I think my doctor and lawyer (I got one after I was originally denied for the lapband) wrote about the Metabolic Syndrome - which is what many of these things amount to. Good luck to you........ AmyK

Some physicians consider insulin resistance to be "pre-diabetes". Perhaps put in those terms, your ins. co would consider it a co-morbidity.
