Hi everyone!
I am glad to have found this board.
I was diagnosed with PCOS monday.
I am having all the tests done and have to go for a pelvi****rasound.
From the reg ultrasound They found ALOT of cysts.
I am very scared.
But in a way it feels like everyhting in life that revolves around PCOS is coming together.
SO hello!
Hello Sabrina,
I am glad to know that you are on your way to dealing with this sydrome. Has having PCOS hindered your weightloss? Have you visited http://www.soulcysters.com ?
Everything will be o.k. Don't be scared. You will be fine.
take care,
God Bless

Thanks for the reply.
I dont know if it has hindered. But I am thinking it may be what is keeping me from getting to goal. No matter if I eat low cal or normal cal or high cal and work out like mad and drink so much water I can not budge the scale.
II am going out of town but have more tests when I get back. So in time huh.
Thanks for the site I will surely check it out
Sabrina, I have followed your progress, you have done wonderfully so far, I KNow PCOS sucks, but it can make you feel better to know that there is a reason behind you symptoms. And it really helps me to know there are others out there going through the same things I do.
if ever you need to chat, feel free to contact me!!!
Let us know how your test turn out.

Thanks so much!!
I do feel alot better know that I know whats going on!
The GTT test was a living nightmare! 20 months with no sugar (10gr or less) and that BLAH ow horrifiying!
I will be sticking around this board and looking more stuff on the net.
But stuff makes sense!
Hi Sabrina - I'm slow in checking in here but thought I'd respond anyway. I am curious how you are doing now and how the pelvic US went. What were the results of the GTT? I am surprised they made you take it, honestly. They should be able to take a blood test that shows what your average has been over the last 3 months.
Either way, at least now you know what it is. I know for me, I am struggling like nobody's business to lose this weight. I am one very slow loser and all I can figure is that it is the PCOS rearing it's ugly head. Did you find it easy to lose or were you a slow loser? I did read part of your profile but forgot to look for that. I'll re-read it in a minute anyway.
As for having kids, I was able to have my son Mason, but I had to do strict low-carb and took Glucophage to help keep the PCOS under control. This was before I had surgery though. My friend Kim has raging PCOS with every imbalance you can imagine and she even got pregnant and her daughter is turning 1 on Saturday.
So keep a positive outlook. We know it's a challenge, but it's not the kiss of death for having kiddos.
