Post Op Menstration

Hi all,

Just looking for some experiences. I had RNY on January 7, and have been fairly successful with weightloss, Currently down 73 pounds and counting. Entered Onederland yesterday :)

However, I had PCOS before surgery, not sure if it's gone now, haven't had it checked as yet, but I do have an interesting period experience I was wondering if anyone has had the same symptoms?

Essentially I have had my period for about a month. Spotting, then nothing, then full bright red heavier flow, then nothing, then maybe some spotting, one day even brown blood (which according to the internet is old blood your body didn't get rid of).
 

I know we're very fertile after surgery and have taken 2 pregnancy tests thinking I was possibly expecting, but tested negative both times. I am going to be talking to my dr about this tomorrow so by no means do I expect professional medical opinions, just wondering if anyone else had wonky periods after surgery and what the outcome was?

I had the gastric sleeve on feb 18. I hadn't had a cycle in over 6 months but I started doing what you are then it stopped for two days and then hit me hard after that. I'm making up for those 6 months without one. I was just guessing that my hormones changed after surgery and my body is still getting use to everything.
