Almost a year since surgery..and no period
Hello Ladys!!
So i had Surgery Jan 29th....was useing bc pills......up till about 4months ago.. while i was on my bc pills i had a period..but after i stopped them No period :(
So does that mean i will have to do fertility treatments all over again? no period, no pregnacy right?
Iv been married for 6 years now...and we really would like a child...we did tons of fertility treatments before i had my rny....now i'm down from 287 to 167......... thought my period would be "normal" after i had surgery...however still nothing..............................

Speaking to an Ob-gyn might be the more informative choice but I will say that I've been told by my ob-gyn that just because you don't have a period doesn't mean you don't ovulate.
Good Luck.

You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't. Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened. My Surgery was September 21/2010
I am sorry to hear that for you. I agree with the above posters, I would check with the OBGYN and have some tests done. I was also told that you can still ovulate and not have a period. Sometimes I think our bodies already know what we are planning. Mine were like clock work after surg every thirty days ( I was not using bc , using ******s), then when we started to expand the family they showed up every 33 to 35 days. Just do not give up. remember it took me 15 years to get Sami. It pray it wont take you that long.

the no period= no pregnancy is not necessarily true
do you have any ovulatory kits or any physical evidence of ovulation?
best is to get a hormone workup and some ultrasounds to see what your eggs are doing postop?
i was actually having periods but they were anovulatory, what a slap in the face!!
best is to get some diagnostics to see where your system is at and it may be a simple 'fix' to get it re-started..never know?
