PCOS still not better...need to loose more weight
I had my GB 02/01/2006. I lost about 42 lbs. I have gained back about 10 lbs since. I was small to begin with (212 lbs) so I knew my weight loss wouldn't be huge.
I exerise like crazy now and have been for the past 4 years, maybe missing about 6 months in total due to some personal things that I was doing. I am now trying to get back on track because I am now getting married June 11th, 2011....
Can anyone, please tell me what I can do to get these 10 lbs off of me. To jumpstart this thing again. My eating habits aren't out of control, and exerise is one of my best hobbies, I just can't seem to get this tomgether.
Can anyone who is new out, or even old out who is still maintaining, help me and give me a menu or some pointers on getting back on track the way I should. Again, I'm not doing bad, but want at least these 10 lbs off before my wedding...
Help me out.
PCOS still not any better.

Well I'm in your shoes that my PCOS did not get better other than I got rid of insulin resistance by having the DS, which helped with PCOS a little.
But I recently had to get put on Spironlactone, to help with the hormone levels. It did help me pull 20lbs off that I gained. So I'm thrilled with that and it has also helped the facial hair problem to slow down. Talk to your OBGYN, and let them know your concerns. I didn't want to admit to mine but after I thought about it my things were snowballing ever since about 2 years Post-op.
I know there is a debate over weather PCOS can be cured with WL & WLS. Honestly at this point I think there needs to be 2 catagories to it. Metabolism driven (aka weight) and Hormone driven PCOS. As some lose weight and get relief of PCOS (except the hair growth...it slows but never goes away), others seem to have it hormone driven which has a vareity of ways of showing. Well here is a bit of a tidbit for thoes who think PCOS is only a "FAT" related issue. Jillian Michaels of Biggest Loser fame has PCOS. That woman doesn't have a scrap of fat on her just about.
So go to a good OBGYN (one that listens) and see what they can do help. Chances are a hormone imbalance is holding thoes lbs on.
