What to do?
Hello, I'm new to the site. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16, I am now 27. The symptoms now show, which they didn't before I had my daughter. The horrible weight gain, sleep apnea, the acne, hair loss... you name it, it shows. I was wondering where I should start to get my life back, is it possible?
Are you seeing a physician?? If you are not , you really should. Go to an endrocrinologist that specializes in PCOS. They will prescribe meds that will control your PCOS, not to mention help with weightloss. The first few weeks I started my meds I lost 15 pounds and it certainly helps with the sleep. The will also prescribe meds to control the hiurtism (facial hair) or hair loss in your case. For the acne, they would probably place you on Birth Control with the appropriate hormones. I found YAZ works great!
Well good luck!
