Does actos make weight loss harder?

I was talking about a drastic 8lb weight gain over the course of 3 - 5 days in the thread I'm liking below.

I have PCOS, was diagnosed after surgery, and was put on metformin. I lost a lot of weight, and even felt like the metformin sped it up. But i got diarrhea a lot, and i was dehydrated. I got to where i couldn't take it anymore and asked to switch to actos. Ever since the switch, I have stalled and gained.  I'm now going back on the metformin to see if it helps. Does anyone know anything about actos possibly makign it harder to lose weight?
