So I went in last week for my check up, my doc always does the ultrasound, etc and they were excited because I Ovulated! She said that I would have a period here soon. Well I started a few days ago...but yesterday had to come home from work because the cramping is EXCRUCIATING...I was litterally doubled over at my desk. I am flowing like crazy, and the Pain is almost unbearable. I should say I am not a wimp when it comes to pain, but this is some evil pain! The only thing that helps is staying off my feet with a heating pad and pain meds....has anyone else experienced this? My Doc thinks maybe one of my cysts ruptured? Dang Gina is it not fun....

HI,

When I wasn't having regular periods the periods that I did have, were horrible.

Think of it this way, take all the cramps, mood swings,  tender breasts and feeling ****ty of all the periods that you have missed, and put them into one period.  It's a mega period.

Once my periods regulated themselves post surgery, the mood swings, cramps etc.are much less and more manageable.

Hi there,

I am one of the few PCOS'ers that has somewhat regular periods.  They don't know why, lol.  My periods are always excruciatingly painful and horribly moody, bloaty and miserable.  I had a cyst rupture in 1995 and it was awful.  Right at midcycle for me.  Not fun.  I feel one brewing on my right side, so I suppose I'll have to find a local GYN and have it checked out.

Not sure how I'm going to manage them after my surgery...but you're not the only one!
