Stomach Problems..

I just wanted to see if anybody knows what is going on with me, because I'm clueless about this haha. I started a new medicine almost a month ago called FORTAMET for my PCOS. I was supposed to start at 2 a day but he wanted me to take 1 a day to see how it works. Ever since I started taking it, I get to dry heaving in the mornings.

Lately, I've been getting migraines and it makes me afraid to even wake up in the morning. My stomach has been hurting. It feels vomity and icky. It makes weird sounds ALOT. I don't know if it's the band or maybe it's just the new medication that I've been taking. But my doctor knows that I have a band that was put in by a doctor in TJ, Mexico. Does anybody have any advice? My mom says just wait until we get to the doctor again on OCT. 11, and we will ask.. but it's kind of making me down because I want to go out and do senior things but I feel sick.

Ok, so Fortamet is the same thing as Metformin or Glucophage. I've been on Metformin several times and it made me really sick too. There is like a week or two that you have to just bite the bullet and keep taking it until your body adjusts to it. I can't remember how long it took for my body to adjust, but I remember for just a little while there I had diarrhea and a stomache ache. You really just have to hang in there. So good luck!

That's exactly what I am going through.. Diarrhea and nausea.. it sucks!! i can't wait until everything is okay again. Thanks soo much for your response :)

I think pretty much every single one of us go through the whole diarrhea, nausea thing. But like I said, hang in there because it will all pass and they wont phase you any more.

Also, I wanted to tell you a month or so ago I read your profile and the whole story about your mom. I was really touched by it, so much I think I balled my eyes out. I am glad to hear/see that she is doing well. And she looks great!

Awww thanks so much for the help and the support! We are still recovering, and I'm planning on getting my lapband out in the U.S. My mom is excited because she is allowed to go back to work now :) Thank-you sooo much again!

That's wonderful you are getting the lap band. You're a lightweight! Looks like it anyway. You are beautiful, and I love your loooooooooooong hair, so pretty!!!

I have the lap band now and I'm getting it out around Christmas break. I have been losing weight lately, I think mainly because of the Fortamet.
