I am stressed out today after I got on the scale and saw a 8 lb gain. I am so upset. I know I have a swollen belly but didnt' expect this much of a weight gain. I haven't been eating much either. So what the heck. I was down to 184 lbs and now I am up to 192 I don't want to ever see 200 again. I woke up at 530 in so much pain had to take a percocet 7.5 and taking them every 4 hours due to the pain I am in. I can't take nsaids but surgeon did prescribe celebrex but it is not covered trying to get a prior authroization he only gave me a weeks worth knowing that it won't be covered and it would cost me like $42 for 7 pills that is alot. So hoping to hear from the pharmacy today to help with the inflamation but otherwise I will be suffering with this. Just keep taking my pain meds. But I am totally freak out with this weight gain and not able to exercise let alone drive. I need to get groceries and can t' even get there. I like to pick out my own fresh fruit and veges. I got milk and bread that isn't a problem but need my fresh fruit and veges. Plus this runny nose is driving me crazy and hubby sick with it too. I went back to bed until 10 this morning woke up hubby to get kids ready for school. Finally got to take a shower that felt refreshing. You would think the lasix would help with all this water weight ugh. why me~

I Just did the same thing with my hysterectomy also,  they day i  came home from the hospital i had gained almost 10lbs. but it has been 4 weeks since mine now and i have lost all that and then some. I really think its just from the swollen belly and stuff.
I feel your pain, the hysterectomy was alot more painful then i expected, i ended up seeing a pain management doctor and going home with morphine and dilaudid and working my way down to the percocets now I'm just taking Tylenol. If you are in a lot of pain even with the percocet i would call the doc and let him know, the pharmacies around here I have to say on them to get things fixed, there is no reason to live with pain if you don't have too. good luck with everything, i hope this helps some. If u wanna chat or vent about anything u can also pm me.

How long did it take to lose the gain weight. I lost a few pounds now. I was 192 yesterday and today I weigh 189.6 good thing I didnt' weigh the day I got home I was probably even higher. I wait to the next mornning to weigh. I don't have much of appetite yet. Also notice losing hair again I am taking biotin and zinc. I been taking it since my rny but they had me stop it until I got back home.

I don't like that I can't drive for 2 weeks that is to long. I can see a week. I haven't done any exercise not even my recumbent bike. I know after I had my rny I was doing this bike 3 times a day for 15 minutes and working it up. But I know I got to go slower due to this was open. So when were you able to start some type of exercise. Sitting around doing nothing is driving me crazy and I feel lazy.

I did get up and make dinner last night. Hubby is sick as well so want to give him a break but let him do the dishes. He is going to do the shopping today when his sister picks him up to go to the store. Also has to stop at the hardware store the darn toliet handle and guts broke last night. If I could drive I would of went and pick it up last night. What a pain not able to do things for myself Hubby don't drive so he has to depend on others. I don't like to depend on others either. I am use do all the errands around here.

It started at about a week after the surgery. I'm sure it's starting to come off for u now. Its funny u mention the hair loss, I hadn't even noticed any hair loss really until the hysterectomy and now it seems to be falling out by the handfuls. I had been in a lot of pain up until a few days ago, so I really haven't done any other exercise besides walking. I had been going to the gym everyday after school up until the hysterectomy.  Today is the first day my hubby is allowing me to drive, and I am so excited to be able to get out of the house by myself. I have been very lazy and enjoying it until I started to feel better. Its wired how different this is from the rny, I was really expecting the same recovery time, but i was ready to go after a few days from the rny, this took alot more out of me. I tried going to the store at a week out of surgery, well it was awful and hubby had to take me home halfway though. I did start helping my hubby cook dinner and get the kids up and ready from school as soon as i was out of the hospital, but for me that was more out of concern for them, then my desire to do so. Things are now seeming to get back to order, the doc still has me out until the 16th of march, don't think I can make it that long so going to talk to him next Friday about going back to school the following week.
I think the main reason they don't want to you to drive is because of the pain meds, I'm thinking if you are feeling up to it, why not but if you don't feel like it don't pu**** .
Have you noticed any dizziness since surgery?  That is something i have noticed, there have been a few times i thought for sure i was going to pass out from it.
