Has anyone had any dealings with this? I had one a week ago, and I go see my Gyno tomorrow.  I have never had this happen to me before and it was very painful. If you have dealt with this before, what did you do? Thanks for any input!

I had 3 ruputure on me and I fainted and when I woke up, I couldnt move so my husband took me to the hospital and I was admitted overnight and I had about 4 different ultrasounds and lots of fluids. I was told it was to flush out toxins. My cysts were the size of grapefruits and I wobbled when I walked because my stomach was so huge. It was very painful. I was put on bed rest for 4 weeks and given Vicodin, Skelaxin and more Metformin and Iron.

Hi PCOS women!  Yes, DeShanna, I have experienced this before.  My ovaries are covered with many small cysts rather than a few large ones for some reason.  I've had too many cysts burst to count since I was diagnosed about 4 years ago.  There seems to be no rhyme or reason or triggering factors as to when they decide to burst but it is, as you know, an extremely painful experience.  For some reason, being on birth control, especially the first several months after beginning the pill, seems to aggravate this portion of the disorder.  My OBGYN says that theres little that can be done to prevent this occurance.  Once I start to notice the symptoms, I immediately take 4 - 200mg ibuprofen.  It takes awhile to kick in, but once it does, I find it very helpful.  Hope you find some answers.  And if you find anything that helps, pass it along!
