PCOS control

Hi

I found out that I had PCOS when I just turned 19yrs just after I had my son which was amazing in it's self as I only got AF around 3 times a yr. I have had plenty of time to read about things but I can't find to much about WLS and PCOS.

I am about to see the Dr about getting my WLS (gastric sleeve) and whilst I know that it won't cure it, in the free seminar they did say it works well for women with PCOS. I know I can't ever get rid of my wonderful chin hair  and I am the classic apple shape ( or as my friends like to say I look like a chicken skinny legs, round body). With a few other symptoms, the cysts I would have to say are the worst. My last U/S showed 6 cysts on my left side all 1 inch. 

I have lost a fair amount of weight once with meds from my Dr but it all come back on plus more.

Have you been able to control your symptoms and what were they?

all my symptoms (irregular periods, cysts, insulin resistance, facial hair) were totally controlled for the first 7 months following surgery. then everything started coming back and now my weightloss has completely stopped.

I am 8 weeks out. I still have my symptoms. I HATE my facial hair. I am always plucking away. The only thing that is different is that I am on my BC pills and I have periods all over the place. I used to knew what week I would have it, now it's a crap shoot. I went to the GYN yesterday. She said I could go off my BC pills to lower my blood pressure but that my lining would thicken up again and my horomones would be all whacked out worse then what they already are with my body changing from the surgery and loosing weight.
