What's the worst side effect of PCOS???
Okay, I have PCOS and have since I was a teen. I have dealt with it daily, weekly, monthly. My three kids are all 7 years apart in age. Not because that is the way I planned it as most people think, but that's how long it took to conceive! I have banned Aunt Flo from my family since she can never have the decency to call ahead before her surprise visits. Sometimes, I have wondered if it could ever get worse.
Anyways, My WLS is next month, but as I was showering today, I looked down and noticed that I have hairy boobs! Not gorrila hairs or anything, but still, I spent at least a half hour picking out hairs! I know, TMI. I can't say that this is the end of the world, but geez, what next??

for me it has been the hair growth on my face and neck. i can deal with stupid periods and cyst pain but the hair growth--- i despise it! also, iwould like to caution you.... for 7 months after my surgery everything pcos related was great. "normal" periods, no cysts, slowed down facial hair growth, then BAM... it was all back with a vengence. in fact i have been referred back to the endocrinologist because of it. i have also not lost any weight in the last 3 months and they think it is from the return of pcos symptoms. hope you have better luck.
Like the other girl. When I first had my surgery everything was peaches and cream. Weight was coming off and had a few symptoms. Then bam everything came flying and splat right in my face. At about 4-6 months I stopped having a period and then stopped losing weight. Just recently I lost a couple of pounds but I've had a hard time losing because of pcos. I am going to have a hysterectomy in Dec. Not only because of pcos symptoms but because of other issues at hand. My hysterectomy won't cure all the symptoms but atleast it will help.
GOD DOES NOT GIVE YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE.

For me, the worst side effect is the infertility.. after a couple of trials, one failed intrauterine insemination, years of no cycles, years of TTC, I can say that is the most difficult part to bear about PCOS. obesity and the facial hair are also hard but nothing like not knowing if someday my miracle will come true...
Dunia, never give up hope completely.
After almost 20 years suffering with PCOS and Endometriosis and having three surgeries for cysts, being told I was infertile and having a hysterectomy looming in the very near future....
... at 34 I had a perfect miracle little girl. Naturally!
The only complication being that she was 2 weeks overdue because the surgeries and cysts had completely scarred over my cervix and it wouldn't dilate... causing a csection.
Chin up hon!!
Second to the infertility symptom, for me it was the cramps that made me pass out on the toilet.
