I never went that long between, but the longest stretch was 9 months ( and I was not preggo) but after my RNY they got more regualar never on a set schedul but monthly until the first of the year where they actually got on a 31 day cycle so when it didn't show in april I felt like something was up and it was I'm now 23 weeks pregnant. So in my experience it does help. We tried for 8 years without ever getting pregnant and then this baby was a suprise, so it's possible. Best of Luck!!!!

And on an added note. My period actually started before I left the hospital after surgery so be prepared for that. Hope that helps.

I haven't had surgery yet, but have had PCOS for about 30 years now. I found losing weight always helped with having more periods. but I've had to take medicine to have normal periods all my life. But getting more regular and better weight allowed me to get pregnant twice. (Surprise and even bigger surprise.) I now have two healthy 19& 20 year old boys/men.

There is always hope and this surgery can only help.

Good Luck!
