I have PCOD for ... well since I was a teen. facial hair, weight problems, cycts removed.. and infertility.. had 2 babies via clomid!! one baby in heaven... my son is now 6.. Anyway what is it like after surgery?? do you still get all the problems??? or does it all go away?? I would love that.
and what about pregnancy? i dont want another one.. so i am started on the depo shots but is it easier to get PG??
I don't want to be barbie I just wan to be healthy!
Without change there wouldn't be butterflies...

I am currently 1yr and 5mo out from GB and I have PCOS or PCOD as you call it.  I have never been able to concieve before surgery.  Since surgery everything is the same for me.  Still have the facial hair and to me it seems just as bad as it was before surgery. As far as infertility, I am on my 5th round of Clomid right now.  I have Ovulated on the 1st, 2nd and 4th rounds.  Waiting to see if I O on this one.............  thought surgery would help me concieve quicker, guess it will take time if it even happens at all?

My facial hair is the same, the weight is gone, lol, no more cysts not even the small little poly cycst..and about the infertility I would say get yourself fixed permanantley if you don't want anymore. I was 11 months out and not trying and got pregnant. I am currently 23 weeks and we were never able to concieve before wls...even with fertility drugs ( clmoid and injectibles) so I would say for some if not alot that it fixes infertility. Just be careful. P&PT's.

All my girl problems, hormone issues, and temperment issues are fixed.
IT changed my life..

but it could be because I had the VSG.. and the VSG completely removes the left side of the stomach that produces the ghrelin which helps contribute to our high testosterone levels..

RNY and Lapband don't.
