Hysterectomy after lap-band
Hi Guys!
On July 16th I had a total abdominal hysterectomy with both ovaries removed and my cervix. (Had bi-lateral PCOS, 2 large Fibriods, and was riddled with Adenomyosis)
Well here it is 4 weeks post op today and feeling SOOOOO discouraged!!!
I had 1/2 cc removed from the band a week before the surgery, and when I did that I had almost no restriction, so now I have NO restriction.
Now I have gained between 5 and 10 lbs and am craving all the bad stuff! I can not get in to get another fill till the 1st and I am soooooo afraid!
Anyone else gain weight after??

In my original post I should have included that the foods I ate over the first 3 weeks were not controlled (cooked or planned) by myself and were all my fav comfort foods, courtesy of mom trying to be a good caretaker. SO even though I DID control the amount that I ate(which was so hard to do without ANY restriction which is what my ''tool" is supposed to give me) I could not control the foods that I ate.
So in reply to you post thanks for the advice, but I do SEE someone and I know WHY I eat the way I do and I also know why I gained the weight.
As I am feeling discouraged what I would like to see are words of encouragement or if anyone else has had weight gain after surgery.
What I seek is some encouragment.

Don't worry the 1st is right around the corner! Time flies just make sure to keep those little demons away. Put yourself to the test and prove yourself right. That you can control your hunger don't let it control. Once you get your fill you'll be good. You'll see you just need to patient and remember you just had a major surgery so that could also be iv fluids in your system still. Just keep on trucking you'll be good. LOL
GOD DOES NOT GIVE YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE.
