Dermoid Cyst on Ovary

 Anyone have one or had one removed?  Did you get second opinions regarding removal?  If the procedure was done Lap, what is the recovery time or required hospital stay?  Actually, even if it was open, whats the recovery time/hospital stay requirements?

I did have one but it was almost 20 years ago.  I was in the hospital about four days and it was done open.  I did not get a second opinion but I was also with one of the top gyns in Florida at the time. 

Do they know how big it is?  Can they do it lap?

 They didnt tell me the size, only that they want to do an MRI to confirm, then surgery.

 I had one removed in 2007. It was the size of a grapefruit and was full of dark hair ( I know hairball gross, lol) I had mine done open b/c of the size and I was in the hospital 2-3 days I think. The incision was just like the incision they make for a c/s and I can't even see the scar now. I recovered well and had no other problems. Hope everything goes well with you. P&PT's.

Anyone here ever tried the holistic approach to cure them?

My sister had her removed about 6 or 7 years ago, it was painful and it was almost 4" in diameter, it took her about 6 weeks to totally recover.
