HELP! PCOS with insulin resistance. over 1 year most op with minumal weight loss
I am 18 months post RNY and only at 95 lbs lost. Very frustrating. Knowing that PCOS is a metabolic and endocrine disorder does help me feel that I'm not a failure at this. I am starting a liquid protein train for the next 5 days to detox and decarb myself. I am TTC and know that in order to fight this IR monster, I am going to have to cut carbs down to a bare minimum. So I'm recommitting myself to that.

I dont have any signs of PCOS currently other than extremely high insulin levels (IR) but incredibly hard time losing (hence considering surgery) and already follow a LC diet... now I am scared I will go through surgery and still not lose.... PCOS/IR makes things soooo hard

(Lost slowly and painfully from 355 to 275 from 2007-2009, then started gaining again before scheduling surgery! Best thing I ever did! :D)
