Dark skin around neck

The only thing I have found to clean really good around the darkness is rubbing alcohol. Does anybody use something else? soap and washrag isn't doing the job. Should I be putting lotion? would that help?

 OM!!! I recently just got diagnosed and I have had all the symptoms you all mentioned since I was a kid! So glad I am getting the help and on the road to surgery. 

My surgery was a year and a half ago, and my PCOS symptoms are resolved. I'm not sure if it was just the weight loss, or the DS, since it is supposed to help with metabolic disorder, but I'll take whatever it is.

Dark and scaly places are normal again, and the tags have reabsorbed.
