PCOS positive
Hello everyone,
Well I posted a while back about the symptoms I was having and wondered if it was a possibility. Well I had my obgyn appt yesterday and told him everything that I was experiencing and he said yup its more than likely pcos. I wasn't shocked because there were alot of people on this board that had already told me thats what it was. So now I am on birth control to try to regulate my periods. Which I hate because I had my tubes tide 5 years ago. So now I have to bother with pills again. The good thing is that if I forget to take 1 atleast I know I can't get pregnant. Well he also did my follow up pap. I had a leep procedure done back in Jan to remove some mild dysplasia as they say (abnormal cells). He said everything looked good from the procedure was concerned. I was going to need 2 more paps after this one but he said if this comes bac****which he said everything looked healthy and healed) then I could come back in 6 months instead of 3 and that would be my last one till next year. I hate having to deal with pap after pap after pap! Yuk its such a drag. So I mentioned to him a possible hysterectomy. I just feel since I've already had the mild dysplasia and there is always that possibility of it turning into something else why not prevent it. Also, my mother had cervical cancer a few years ago but we were lucky we caught in time and they did a total hysterectomy and she is ok now. I just don't want to end up having it turn into something bad if I can do something about it now. Maybe with PCOS diagnosis and a little convincing he'll do it. Well thanks to everyone who helped me confirm the possiblity.
