What kind of advice do you want?  I have PCOS also and I will be a year out from RNY on the 13th of this month.  I am also TTC.  My pcp (but he is also an OBGYN) I asked him to put me on Provera to start my menses, Metformin because I have been reading something about it helps the clomid work better, then Clomid to ovulate. Today was my first day taking the Clomid.  I went out and bought some OPK's Yesterday from Big Lots just for this month. Then next month I had bought a Clear Blue Fertility Monitor to use. Have heard they could not work as well for those of us who are on Clomid and have PCOS.  But I figured I would try for myself.  Anyway, this will be baby #1 that we are trying for. So I am not very knowlegable.  But if I can help you with anything I will try! LOL  Good Luck,  and come visit the After weightloss Pregnancy Board!  JULIA

Good luck in your ttc journey.  I found the best thing was to buy a basal body thermometer and track my bbt, it's more accurate than the fertility monitors in my opinion.  I would take my temp before getting out of bed at the same time each morning (you do have to have 3 straight hrs of sleep to get an accurate reading) and recorded them at www.fertilityfriend.com .  Along with tracking my temps I also kept an eye on my cervical mucous (discharge).  Also start temping the 1st day of your period.

I found that my temps could be a little eratic prior to ovulation but that at around midcycle (around cycle day 14 = CD14 for people who have a 28 day cycle) my temp would do a dip and then spike the next day.  My temp then would stay elevated for a minimum of 3 days to confirm ovulation (fortunately the website analizes this for you).  Then at about 14DPO (days past ovulation) if I wasn't pregnant my temp would nosedive and my period would start.  When I got pregnant my temps would stay a good full degree above my coverline temp (given by ff.com).

Between the dip/spike in temps and the change in cervical mucous we were able to perfectly time DTD (doing the deed) with ovulation.  I was able to get pregnant 2x on the 1st month trying by doing this.

As for your cervical mucous there are 4 types...

dry - not there...typically seen right after your period
creamy - like lotion - this is not fertile fluid
watery - like water...very wet and well...like water - possible fertile fluid
egg whites (EWCM) - very stretchy and looks like egg whites - VERY fertile fluid!  Now's the time to get busy!!

To give you an idea of how charts look here's my page with past charts including ones where I got pregnant.

Hello!
I have pcos and I was trying to get pregnant. I had wls in May of 07. I was on metformin (to try to get pregnant) and it did not seem to work. I found a herbal pill online called OVULEX I was pregnant within a month and we were trying for 6 months before. We were taking the male pill and the female pill. I also used the clear blue monitor. I tracked everyday we had sex and everyday I took the pills. They are pretty spendy but I think they work!
Hope that helps!

I am 14 months post op and have been infertile for over 14 years (Have a beautiful adopted daughter though).  I just sort of gave up on trying to get pregnant since I am almost 38 and so much time has already gone by.  Well...what do you know?  I am 6 weeks pregnant.  I swear it is a miracle because I tried EVERYTHING...including treatment.  I think my body is finally healthy and ready (I have lost almost 90 pounds).  Now I just have to use my tool to make sure I stay as healthy as possible.
