I had a Obgyn appt. today.I went to use the restroom and thought it odd that i had a really bad discharge(sorry tmi). I saw a new dr and went over my medical stuff.Had a pap and he wanted to do a vaginal ultrasound and take a look at my ovaries to see what kind of shape they are in .While he was looking he said well look at that.I thought something was wrong. But he said i had a follicle measuring 20-21 something like that.He told me to go home a have sex today and tomorrow. He also wrote me a script for 6 months of clomid,in case i don't conceive this month.I have NEVER O'ed on my own before. So ,this is positive news for me.When I saw the eggwhite discharge ,I new something was up.Maybe i will finally have my baby.Hubby has to do a Semen analysis in 3 months if i am not pregnant by then.I am so surprised he wrote me a script since i am only 8 1/2 months out.I have lost 100 lbs .Weighed 255 and now 156.I am trying to be positive, this is the 1st good news i have had relating to fertility.

good luck!!!  It takes a woman with PCOS to be excited about Oing. lol

I am so curious if I would ovulate too.  I am still on the nuvaring and only 4 mos out.  I can wait to ttc again.

Actually ,I refused to go on any birth control. We used condoms for awhile. The 29th ,I will be 10 months out.We aren't using anything at this point,I lost 100 lbs and am weighing 153.I saw a obgyn last week and he even prescribed me 6 months of clomid,so if i wasn't healthy enough he wouldn't have been willing to do it.He plans on monitoring me .I feel fine. And if my body is willing ,were hoping it happens for us.

Hello Tina,
I am almost 14 months post op and I want to get pregnant also. I was told to wait 18 to 24 months to get pregnant but I can't. My son is almost 11 and I feel like I am running out of time. This is the 1st month that I have stopped the birth control. Good Luck to you.

Hi Tina....your story sounds all to familiar to me. I am taking clomid right now and have been for the last three months; with no luck.  Last month, the dr told me that my "follicles" were measuring 10,11 & 12 and that in order to ovulate, they needed to be 20+.  Frustration is consuming me because I too lost over 100+ pounds and the ultimate resason I decided to have the surgery was to be healthy so that I could be a mom someday.  Thank you for sharing your story; it renews my hopes to ovulate soon!!  Take Care.  Tavia
