Metformin and reactive hypoglycemia???

I'm rarely on here anymore, but I have a question for those of you who know a lot about Metformin.  I know that people take it that have Diabetes II or PCOS and I know it lowers your blood sugar levels.  But, if someone, like myself, who has reactive hypoglycemia after surgery (7 years ago), takes Metformin, couldn't lowering the blood sugar levels even MORE be very dangerous?  Does anyone know about this and whether or not we can take this stuff after WLS?

Metformin is not a hypoglycemic.  Which means that it doesn't actually lower your blood sugar.  It helps your body maintain a more even blood sugar and so helps with the low sugars.  I had an awful time with hypoglycemia before starting metformin and now my sugars are stable.
