FATTY LIVER

wow !!!! I had never even heard of "fatty liver" until 2years ago they have not done a biopsy but seemed to think this is what it is ..I am pre-surgery as well and only found out that there are 4 stages to "fatty "liver| this concerns me ...do you have pain with yours???

No I dont have any pain with my liver. Yet my liver numbers were high and I have Multiple Sclerosis. So they wanted to double check  me....

I was diagnosed with a moderate fatty liver pre surgery.  My doctor put me on a liquid diet (slim fast with protein powder) for two weeks.  He wasn't sure if he would be able to do the surgery la*****t, it kinda depended on how well I stuck to the two week diet and how much I was able to shrink my liver.  I am happy to say, I lost 10 pounds on the presurgery diet, but better than that, the doc said I did a great job at shrinking the liver and he WAS able to do the surgery lap.  Hope this helps.  Good luck! I have a fatty liver with my PCOS.  What do some of you mean that you can feel it?  My endocrinologist calls it non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.  I am not exactly sure what the size of mine is or what the numbers were from blood work. 

sorry it took me so long to post.. My surgery is October 8th and I have the same non-alcoholic fatty liver I have pain on my right side underneath my breast I get it when I eat some things fatty or chocolate ..it is like a dull ache but you know it is there..they say when your liver is irritated it can get twice it's size ..that is why they suggest you lose weight prior to surgery..hope this helps..

hmmmm... are you sure it is not your gallbladder?
