I was wondering what people have set as goal BMI's with there surgeons? I know that women with PCOS have more muscle mass then most women and therefore should have a higher BMI but how much higher. I am seeing my surgeon on Monday and want to have some idea what is a  realistic BMI for a woman with PCOS. thanks Pheona

My goal BMI is the highest for normal at 24-25.  I think right now I'm at around 25. Good luck with the surgeon!  I hope he has some answers for you!  My surgeon never brought my PCOS into play when they gave me a goal weight of 140lb. Kristy

My Dr's goal for my BMI is just within the healthy range...25.  As a matter of fact, I think I need to change my ticker, since I've now agreed to just get to 150 instead of to my original goal of 135.  My Dr thought 135 would be too small for me.  OK!  :)  That just means I'm closer to goal!

Hi there! I hit my 'weight' goal at 9 months out and my BMI is somewhere around 22 I think.  I thought I'd have a hard time losing due to PCOS but it went fast for me.

My doc said 28 was "reasonable" for someone with lifetime obesity and PCOS.
