How many of you think you are/were an over eater? I am thinking that the Bypass surgeries are just to drastic for me..... I am considering lapband (please forgive me if I am repeating my self and or others), but I really do not eat much more than the thin person next to me. IYKWIM? Well, the past few months I have, because I am at a point were It did not seem to matter. But before then... I even tried WW and stuck to the plan, and did not lose anything. PCOS is a B****! I am starting to read and find out that it is all about the carbs, and not eating often enough, skipping breakfast and sometimes lunch. Anyway, so many of you have done well with the lapband, but did you overeat before the band?
~ Ashley~ Looking for my answer, is a bit overwhelming ;) Thanks so much to all of you for sharing your experiences with me!

i have always been an overeater and I have a bad sweet tooth (lap band wont help you much if your an ice cream fanatic like me) so i opted for RNY cause I know me lol... but the band works great for many people... and its safer...its all up to you

Amen and Amen!! Once I began to research the band v's bypass with PCOS patients it was a no-brainer decision for me.  I went with RNY have been off all medications including metformin since the day before surgery!! RNY   --works for me!!

201 pounds lost since surgery!! And I'm 2 1/2 inches taller too!!

And YES I still eat Carbs and Fats but I know what portion control is!!

I had to keep a diary of my food intake for a while and I was told I didn't eat enough.  So I don't consider myself to be an over eater.  In fact - I am eating a TON more that I did before I had the RNY.   Although I still tend to eat sweets like I'm not supposed to - because I have these wicked cravings and I don't "dump" like most people tell me that they do.  I REALLY WISH I DID.  Then I wouldn't do it as often!

i was an under eater for about 8 years before i had my surgery.  I killed my matabolism, I ate about one to two meals a day and they were not large servings or high carb or anything.  I also went on ww for 9 months and only lost 14 pounds.  So yes PCOS SUCKS!  skipping meals is the worst thing you can do to yourself, and when you compound that with PCOS, it's just awful. I was banded and have lost 21 pounds in 7 weeks.  eat that WW! lmao.
