another question about sores on privates for long term post ops
i have been diagnosed with pcos since i was 19 and i'm now 31. so far, i've had two periods w/out medication in the last two months which is great. but my last period brought lots of sores on my private area. they hurt really bad and basically make certain sexual activities off limits. i've had them for years now but every once in awhile they get worse. did this get better once you lost a significant amount of weight? i sure hope so cuz i really would like to be more free in bed with my hubby but it's hard when you have those things down there. thanks for any help.
sounds like something that involves the hormones to me I am no expert but maybe you could contact some other gynocologists see if they have any better ideas about this problem...i have been diagnosed with pcos for over 10 years and I am only just now getting better treatment, they just kept tossing bc pills at me or progestoverin... hopefully it will help me with my weight loss and symptoms

First let me say PLEASE don't take offense to this but have you been tested for all std's? Specifically herpes I know thats a big bad word but most dr's don't test for that unless you specifically ask for it and it's very possible to have it for a long period of time and never know it.
relax you most likely do not have an std like some people think ( not that it couldent happen) but i am 30 years old and have never had any sex of any kind and i have had these sores off and on for years now. they are painful and just another rotten part of pcos. i dont know if they get better with weightloss but i hope so.
yeah i know they aren't std related though i can't say i've been a good girl all my life! one lady previously said what they are called. you might want to look into treating them through your pcp or dermatologist. i am trying to do that now. no success so far but at least i have a name for them now. the acronym is HS but i don't remember off hand what they are called. it's a complicated name. i put a link to the post with the info.
