PCOS
How were you diagnosed? Can you still get pregnant and have PCOS? I get a period every month but sometimes its anywhere from 30-41 day cycles. I have had a child but I was 20 years old and Im now 28. I really want more kids...is there anything I can do to up my chances of conceiving? We aren't really trying but haven't been careful either. For about 5 months now we haven't stopped it and I haven't gotten pregnant.

My doc diagnosed me based on my menstrual history of pretty much not having any. Have you tried taking your body basal temp & tracking it? By doing that I was able to concieve my DD our 1st month trying and now this baby 1st month trying. Of course I did go through 8 years of failed fertility treatments before my WLS.
If you'd like info on charting your bbt (basal body temp) let me know...I'd be happy to explain it to you!

2 kids in 3 years...take THAT PCOS!
I had both of my kids before wls. I was 20 when I had my daughter and got preggers on my own. It took me 7 years to get pregnant with my son. I went to a fertility clinic for almost 2 years before I finally had him. They diagnosed me with PCOS. I never got my period. I was put on metformin, took provera to get my period, clomid to grow some eggs, ovidril to release them and progesterone suppositories until my 2nd trimester.
Do you ovulate? I never did, until I had rny. Now my cycle comes every month and I ovulate. If you want to be sure about PCOS, you should see your Dr. But having PCOS doesn't mean you can't have any more children, you may just need a little help.
Good Luck!!
