Psychiatric Evalution

I had my Pyschiatric Evaluation Done today and it went very well. She feels I am mentally stable and healthy to be able to handle the life long changes of WLS and that she was going to write a report saying I am a good candidate for WLS. We spent about an hour chit chatting.. I was very comfortable with her. By the end it seemed like I was talking more to a friend than a Medical professional which was really cool. She said she was a little back logged writing her reports but would probably have it written up in a week and then everything will be submitted together to the insurance company for the pre auth. Well , I guess I am on my way.. I am excited and nervous at the same time! A question for those of you who have had RnY surgery already.. how long did it take from the time everything was submitted till approval and the surgery? Just curious. I would like to just get it over with! lol. I have blue cross of CA, PPO

I have BCBS or Illonois.  They submitted my paper work 2 weeks ago Tuesday.  I was contacted Tuesday by my surgeons office they needed a nutritional letter.  And my wonderful nutritionist got it out to them the same day.  So as of yesterday, my paperwork was sent over to the board. So that is how long it took me to get to this point.  Good Luck with it!!
