Hi everyone, I am a little confused about cysts and pregnancy. I have a 6 cm cyst on my left ovary and a 4cm cyst on my right one and I am 6weeks pg and a bit confused about how they will affect my pregnancy? Any help? Thanks

They will probably not affect it at all. Most likely they are corpu****eum cysts which is what produces progesterone to support the pregnancy until your placenta is formed.

ACK!!  You had surgery in October and you're pregnant already?  Did your surgeon recommend waiting before trying to get pregnant?

All surgeons recommend not getting pregnant until 12-18 mos after surgery. I didn't "TRY" to get pregnant. It just happened.

Sorry, I just have to laugh at that.  Unless you come back and say that the condom broke or the diaphragm slipped, I'll still laugh.  It's not actually you that I'm laughing and shaking my head at.  It's just the concept of "it just happened."  Sorry, it just doesn't fly with me. My doc has already told me that after the surgery, I'll be more fertile than I've ever been because of the PCOS.  So I'll be using double protection.  I hope to get back on the NuvaRing after surgery and we'll for damn sure be using condoms as an extra method of protection.  If not on the NuvaRing, then it will be condoms and plenty of spermicide.  There are things you can do to prevent a pregnancy from "just happening."   Especially when you've been advised against it due to the nutritional deficiencies you will be putting not only your body through, but your baby's body as well.

I wish the best with your WLS and success with ttc after you have reached your goal. Although it really doesn't matter to me what "flys" with anyone I don't what to turn this into a bashing session about my pregnancy. Thanj you for your concern and God Bless.
