Provera Question

For those of you who have taken Provera to start a period, I have a question... What dose of Provera were you given and how many days did you take it? My doc just prescribed me Provera 10mg to take for 10 days! This seems like a lot! I thought it was only for 5 days.

my doc wanted me to take them 10 days at a time every time and minimum 4 times a year i really hated it, i never had so much cramping and feeling totally like crap, I dont remember the dosage though its been a while since i had to take it (cause i had no insurance and couldnt take it for awhile then i started to hemmorage and they had to do an endometrial ablasion which basically means they burned the lining out of my uterus... so id reccomend following orders from my personal unpleasant experence

10 for 10 here as well. First time it didnt work. The second time it worked about 7 days into it and I had the most painful period of my life. O_o Not to scare you, I just had the privlage of having really painless periods before all my complications. Hmm, now that Im looking this post was started in January! Jeez, I am very behind. I really wish I wouldve found this board sooner!

I took the same dosage of provera and it didnt work. I took it for 4 months 10 days a month and I only got spotting. My doc has now put me on BC pills.. we will see sunday if they work.. I am to the point of just giving up and having a hysterectomy.  Good luck!!
