PCOS and diabetes typeII no more insullin resistance? Ok typing this I confused myself more, I hope someone understands what i mean, lol I guess when it comes down to my dr writing my letter does he say i am diabetic and also mention pcos? or does he just say diabetic, They are 2 seperate diagnoses right?

That is not the case. You can have PCOS with or without insulin resistance. Uncontrolled insulin resistance can lead to type II diabetes if not taken care of. I have insulin resistance with PCOS but do NOT have diabetes.

So basically it is two seperate diagnoses then?

Yes they are two separate diagnoses.  You have to have consistently high blood sugar levels to be considered diabetic. And sugars that are not controlled by diet modifications and exercise. Most insurance companies will NOT consider insulin resistance a co-morbidity because it is not full-blown diabetes.
