I am getting excited because I am only 3 months away from my 6 month surgery anniversary which is when my surgeon told me I can try to conceive!!!  Well, my OB/GYN told me that PCOS women often see an increase in fertility with only a 5% weight loss, which , thanks to my band I have far succeeded!!!  Just wondering how some of you did when you were finally ready to conceive, how long did it take, are there increased chances of miscarriage due to PCOS??

I got pregnant our first month not using protection at 16 months post op.  At this point I'd already lost my excess weight and was at my surgeons goal weight of 140 (down from 254).  Is the reason they are telling you to ttc at 6m post op because you had lapband?  This is the only surgeon I know of thats said this.  I have a few other friends who've had lapband done and they were told to wait a minumim of 12 months.  Just curious.
