pre diabetic to diabetic?
Ok so, I was diagnosed with PCOS/insullin resistance about a year or so ago and put on Metformin, It was enough cause for my surgeon to take me on cause of that medication Cause of my light weiggt status, Anyway today I went for my 6 month recheck with my endo and my levels are now high enough that she has said I am considered type 2 diabetes and I was sent home with a glucose reader test thingy with a prescription for the test strips and an increase too 750 mg twice a day.
This might sound awful, Typing it i almost feel like crap, but this diagnose should definatly rule in my favor when it finally does come time to submit, I know I am jumping the gun cause I have a few months before I can submit my paper work, but I am so fearful of being denied again (denied 4 years ago and only thing I had on my side then was acid reflux)
OK so for those of you that don't think I am crazy ehhhh even if you do, what do you think? lol

That sucks that you turned IR to diabetic. But it's ok. I did it too. I was IR for years and spent about 4 years on Metformin (2000mg) before becoming diabetic in 2003. Fortunately for me since surgery my diabetes went away and I've not taken any Metformin since the day before surgery. Even when I got pregnant I didn't have gestational diabetes. My sugars have always been "perfect" and my A1C is normal too.
What is your BMI if you're a 'light weight'? If you're under 40 this additional diagnosis of diabetes should now qualify you for WLS along with the GERD. Good luck!
