When will I start my periods naturally?

I had RNY in late July of 2007 and am curious about how much weight I'll need to lose before my body starts allowing me to have periods. I honestly can't remember the last time that  I had a period naturally. I was on birth control for a few years but that just got too expensive so it's been  around 4 years since my last period. I'd like to have some sort of heads up about when to expect my period so I'm not caught off-guard. I started out at 372 lbs. and now I'm around 310. Any advice would be appreciated!

I read somewhere lately(i can't remember where) that a 5'4" a woman's period will srop at 208 lbs. I know from personal experience that mine comes back naturally at around 215. I went seven years without one. Watch out when you have it though because it's gonna be massive. Make sure you're taking iron. Also, you might want to ask your doc for a script of provera. You take it for ten days, then between 3-10 days after you will have what is called withdrawel bleeding. It's good to clean out your uterus and it wouldn't be such a surprise. I hope this helps. Funny you should mention this.  I had my lap band surgery 11 mos. ago.  I have lost 60 pounds.  I started at 273 and am now at 213.  My period stopped 19 years ago.  In May 7 mos after surgery, I had a 2 day spotting episode,  June nothing, July 13th...felt like I was in labor and BAM....full blown period....very heavy.....painful....and a complete surprise.  August 28th.....Another full blown period......I am shocked....I didn't expect my cycle to return after 19 years....I'm 42 and had my kids with fertility drugs now I have to worry about preventing pregnancy......I'm hoping the shift in hormones will help the Pcos symtoms.  I can honestly say.....didn't miss the PMS, cramps and week of bleeding for the last 19 years but I guess it's time to live like most woman of my age....it was nice while it lasted.  Good luck.
